ATI is getting ready to unveil a cable card tuner that’s been known as OCUR. That according to this article at CEPro.

According to ATI:

OCUR would, according to ATI, “allow Media Center PCs that run on the forthcoming Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, to receive High Definition premium digital cable TV content on the PC, ushering in the next level in functionality and opening new avenues for PC entertainment.”

This is good news, how does it handle all the copy protection stuff people are making a big fuss about?

Hey I know what in the Microsoft Tent - A Time Machine

Nearly all blog entries post the visit to the MS partner tent show January 8th (like this one) yet they have most defiantly been posted on 7th January in Las Vegas. So Vista controls time now - fits with the VanishingPoint Game.

This is definitely great news. I’ve been anxious as to when cable cards for PCs would come out. It’s still not bi-directional, though. :-\
